school christmas play

atlee's school had their christmas play a few weeks ago and it was entertaining (as always). this year her class wore red shirts with hand painted snowmen....courtesy of mrs. kristy. atlee and her classmates "performed" 2 songs.....they basically yelled the words of the songs and banged around some homemade tamborines....it was music to our ears! we had 2 cameras and were snapping away, but the lighting was horrible so none of the "performance" was captured clearly. so, here are a few family pics after the show.....

christmas this year is one we will always remember....from traveling in the blizzard, to being snowed in at the lake, to finally sliding into wf and somehow making it to our christmas celebrations.....but the one thing we will forever remember is our baby girl sitting in the backseat singing "happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you....happy birthday dear jesus....happy birthday to you!" i hope everyone enjoyed their christmas and celebrated the birth of jesus just like we did!

di-di and gramon came for their weekly visit to see atlee and decided they would "attempt" the gingerbread-making house thing. well, let me just say that they won't win any gingerbread-making contest anytime soon....at least not with a 2 year old!

your 2nd birthday was on saturday and what a fabulous party it was! tons of family and friends came to your "sweet shoppe" and helped celebrate your special day! you are one little lucky girl to have so many wonderful people in your life. Atlee- your daddy and I can't believe how much you have brightened our lives in just the past 2 years! we have come to realize that our lives weren't complete until you arrived. you are definitely the most precious thing to us and we pray every night to God for blessing us with such a wonderful gift. you give us purpose in life! we love you more and more everyday! thank you for being the best daughter anyone could ever dream of!

we had to get out our boots (our pink ones of course) for the big pioneer reunion this weekend....

so this weekends agenda was full of parties....one in decatur, one in henrietta, and one in wf. we only ended up making it to the party in decatur. the rain didn't quite agree for making road trips back and forth, getting a toddler in and out of the car, and trying to squeeze in a nap. so....sorry to Presley and Berkley for missing your parties! i am sure they were a blast. we promise to make it up to you!!! i do know that the one party we attended was tons of fun. Atlee was so excited and reminded me several times on Saturday morning about going to Dylan's birthday party....she couldn't wait to get there. Dylan is one of her best buds at school and they are like 2 peas in a pod. so....here are a few pics of her classmates at the party......

i would say these are 2 of Atlee's favorite things.....baby dolls and Jax!

a few other favs are....her "blankies", apple juice, cheese, spongebob, "papi" aka paci, strollers (not necessarily when she is riding in them, but when she can push them) bows, and shoes. these are just a select few and some could possibly be complete obsessions!

oh and a little side note.....our child does have clothes, but its a must for her to be in just a diaper if she is outside playing. she tends to use the "sidewalk chalk" to chalk herself and not the sidewalk.
